Leading the fight against Neurofibromatosis

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES

  1. Salmon and Strawberry Jazz Event
  2. National Doodle Day
  3. Odiham Jazz Weekend
  4. Valentines Rock n' roll night
Until 2004, The Neurofibromatosis Association had always concentrated its fundraising activities on events requiring fitness – the Three Peaks Challenge, climbs of Ben Nevis, the London Marathon and Great North Run among them.

However, 2004 saw a change to all that with the launch of National Doodle Day, an event for everyone, irrespective of age or drawing ability. For further information check out the National Doodle Day website.

Where will the Funds raised go?
Largely due to funds raised in Hampshire we now have an Nf Specialist Advisor covering Hants, Dorset, South Wiltshire, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands, based in the Genetics Unit at the Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton. The Specialist Advisor provides invaluable on-going support to families living with neurofibromatosis. She also liaises with schools and other professionals to ensure that they have up to date information to provide the best possible care. ***Click on Nf Specialist Advisors for more information. The Southampton-based Specialist Advisor is only 25% funded by the NHS so funds raised at the Odiham Jazz Weekend will help keep this post open.
